Puffin mosaic Picture. The puffin in the picture is made from porcelain clay. I have cut it out with a cutter I made and painted him with underglaze. I have also painted some sheets of clay with underglaze colour to use for the mosaic and all of these are fired in my kiln. The fired puffin is then glued to my mosaic base and I hand cut all the surrounding pottery pieces with some vintage pottery.This is finally grouted and ready to hang in a picture grouping or special place in your house. the picture measures 12.5 x17.5 cm and 3 cm deep.
I like seaside themed pictures because I live on Anglesey and there are puffins on Puffin Island off the coast by Beaumaris.
